ESR - Engine, Standard Resolution
The ESR is our leading unenclosed desktop printer.
History
- The Engine was introduced during our KickStarter campaign with five different configurations:
- E1 Tinkerer: one filament head, no heated bed, no computer
- E2 Hobbyist: one filament head, heated bed, no computer
- E3 Apprentice: one filament head, heated bed, computer
- E4 Journeyman: two filament heads, heated bed, computer
- E5 Professional: four filament heads, heated bed, computer
- The Engine after the KickStarter campaign, like all of our printers, comes with one MK1-250 filament head.
- With the introducion in 2018 of the EHR (Engine, High Resolution), the Engine was redesignated ESR: Engine, Standard Resolution
- The ESR v2 was introduced in 2021, and comes with better motors with closed-loop feedback and quieter operation. CE marked units are available upon request.
